Hey, folks.
Captain Paul Powis here in London, Ontario with Angling Sports with my friends here. And, just a quick overview of, rod and reel selection for Lake Erie in particular where I guide.
My bread and butter rod and reel combination is a seven foot medium one piece Talora rod paired with a 500 line counter.
And I run like five or six different techniques off this.
I can run this off my planer boards for deep diving crankbaits. (Bandit Lures, Flicker Minnows, Deep Hit Sticks)
I can run it off my planer boards for snap weight system, bottom bouncers, worm harnesses, snap weights like I indicated, a couple colours of core, one piece very, very symmetrical in your hand.
The Tekotas 500, it's a little smaller footprint, hold all the line you need for Lake Erie as well.
It's got the line counter here, anti fog. It's got the the index drag and, very loud clicker. Super combo. This is as good as it gets, the best of the best.
And the beauty of the sevens, if you're running multiples on the side of the boat, they got that nice light tip that shows you a little bit of load on the rod and something as subtle as that means fish on.
Super versatile.
They have lots in stock here.
If you're looking to get a bigger size, the 600 series, they also have those in stock as well.
They're very well equipped here, and they got all the baits, all the tackle, all the terminal tackle, line, everything.
The weather's gonna break next week, and it's gonna be lights out the walleye fishing on Lake Erie.
Give it a try.
