“The Dredge” is truly proof that “necessity is the mother of all invention”.  As POW Casting started to become a recognized and respected name in the down rigging community, we started to get more and more requests for custom colours, new products, and more.  As time went on the one item that was frequently requested was a snag resistant downrigger weight for dragging bottom, who new that was a thing?.  We did some market research and discovered that this technique was popular all over North America for targeting lethargic, staging and bottom dwelling fish.
